While there are plenty of beauty trends we hope will go away in 2012 there are some we’re excited to see stickaround. We have a feeling that these three are going to heat up even more in 2012.

1. Bold Colors: Look-at-me hues are going to be BIG in 2012. Bobbi Brown Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow in Ultra Violet, from her Spring collection, is a perfect example. This applies to everything from nails to makeup to fashion. But instead of last year’s saturated neon shades, look for sheer washes of bright colors.

2. Creative Manis: 2011 was the year of the wild manicure, and this year isn’t going to be much different—maybe just more refined. Opt for cool techniques and pretty hues instead of over-the-top versions.

3. Guy-Friendly Looks: Some of the “girl-hot” trends of the last few years (think harem pants and hot-pink hair) are wrapping up, leading to more man-friendly, date-night worthy styles. We’re psyched! Come spring, we’ll all be wearing wispy sundresses with our wavy locks flowing.
